Compact washing machines are designed to fit under standard countertops and sinks

Unlike traditional size washing machines, compact washing machines have a lower water usage and are smaller. They also require less space, making them a good option for small apartments or homes. Despite their size, they offer the same amount of options, as well as fast wash cycles, which makes them a good choice for those who do laundry on a regular basis.

Compact washing machines are designed to fit under standard countertops and sinks. Their dimensions are approximately 24 to 27 inches wide and 23 inches deep. They typically come in two sizes: 2.2 cubic feet and 2.4 cubic feet. These smaller models are suitable for singles, couples, and small families. A full wash cycle can take about 10 minutes.

Compact washers are typically front loading machines, meaning they can be loaded from the front. Some models offer a child lock and a durable stainless steel drum. Some models also come with an automatic water adjustment system. Some compact models use HE detergents, which are specially formulated to work well with cold water. These detergents contain fewer bubbles and are more effective at removing stains.

Some models have a touch screen programmer that allows users to choose from a variety of cycles, as well as unlimited programming options. Other models feature caster wheels, which allow you to move the unit around easily. The caster wheels are primarily found on electric models, though some non-electric models also include two caster wheels on the front of the machine. Castor wheels can be very useful for those living in small apartments or RVs.

Compact washers offer a variety of useful features, such as delayed start, display locks, and five cycle options.  Others have an accelerated wash cycle, which means the machine can run a normal cleaning cycle in half the time.

Compact washers may be more expensive than standard size models. They typically range from $800 to $2,000, depending on the model. However, the amount of space needed for a standard washing machine is 58 inches, while the space required for a compact machine is only 23 inches. This can help reduce the overall cost of owning a washing machine, as well as save on water and energy.

Many compact washers feature a 4.3 inch touch screen programmer. This makes it easy to choose from a variety of cycles, as well as adjust the timer and temperature. Some models offer a TwinDos feature, which dispenses the optimum amount of detergent for your laundry. Some models offer a fabric softener dispenser, too.

Some compact washers are equipped with caster wheels, which allow you to easily move the unit around your home. Some models come with two caster wheels in the front, while others feature four caster wheels in each corner. These wheels are primarily used for RVs and small apartments.

Some compact washing machines are also available in non-electric varieties. Non-electric models require a bit of assembly, but they are very easy to use. Non-electric models also have a detachable spout, which makes draining easy. However, they require good rhythm when turning the hand crank. If the crank is turned too quickly, your clothes may become soapy.
