Can an electric spin dryer be used in conjunction with a washing machine or is it a standalone appliance?

An electric spin dryer is typically used as a standalone appliance and not in conjunction with a washing machine. Unlike a traditional tumble dryer, an electric spin dryer is designed specifically for removing excess moisture from clothes after they have been washed. It works by rapidly spinning the clothes, using centrifugal force to extract water.

After the clothes are washed in a washing machine, they are transferred to the electric spin dryer for the drying process. The spin dryer usually has a separate drum or compartment where the wet clothes are placed. Once the lid or cover is closed, the spin dryer starts spinning at a high speed, forcing the water out of the clothes and into a drain or collection container. The duration of the spinning cycle depends on the specific model and the desired level of dryness.

It's important to note that an electric spin dryer is not a substitute for a washing machine or a traditional tumble dryer. Its primary function is to remove excess moisture from clothes quickly and efficiently. After using an electric spin dryer, the clothes may still require additional drying, such as air drying or using a traditional tumble dryer, depending on the desired level of dryness.

While some combination washer-dryer machines exist that can both wash and dry clothes in a single unit, these typically use a different mechanism, such as condensation drying or heat drying, rather than spinning to remove moisture.
